Heading to Hawaii with my Maui Jim Sunglasses

20 days and counting down until my Maui vacation.  What better time to promote a Maui-originated company that’s been extremely successful since 1980!  Maui Jim Sunglasses have combined the Aloha-island-style with the technology of the Polarized Plus lenses to protect you from harmful UV reflected off the water and give you the best sunglasses on the planet!

On their website, you can choose between men’s and women’s sunglasses,  as well as prescription sunglasses, and from there you have a number of selections to choose from like:

I was impressed that even vanity comes into play when they sort their selections, I know as a woman I want to look my best and even have my sunglasses look great on me!  Often when you buy online you don’t get a salesperson selling you what looks best for every feature, so after looking through all my choices, I followed up checking out the frames for my facial features to make sure the style was right for me.  I chose the Punchbowl style.

The full coverage lenses give me the protection and shade over my eyes that I like and need. As a prescription lens wearer (contacts and glasses) I know when the area above and below my glasses can give me a headache when the light and dark have a high contrast.  I get an even feeling around my eye when I’m wearing my contacts with the sunglasses that I don’t get any visual or light distortion.  The glare and brightness that is blocked is amazing, no extra squinting out during baseball games, and even their full coverage helps block wind and breeze for my allergy eyes!  The frames curve around my temples in a smoothly and naturally so even if I’m lying on my stomach on the beach I can have my sunglasses on without pointy, uncomfortable points.

The sunglasses come in a gorgeous box and zippered shell container that can be clipped to a belt loop or  inside a purse and not get scratched.  The Hawaiian print cleaning cloth also doubles as a soft pouch for even added protection.
