Last week, we took the kids to see the Disney on Ice production of Toy Story 3. Having seen last year’s Let’s Celebrate, I knew we were in for a great night. I said last year that this may possibly be better than going to Disneyland, and the production included so many of the characters you’d see in the park, I believed that to be true. This year’s show was short of amazing, and I must admit, it’s better than watching the movie, Toy Story 3, by far!
First of all, the talent is amazing. The ice skaters put on a show that amazes parents and kids alike. To be in such bulky costumes as some are (Rex, Slinky, Aliens) and to still be able to perform on the ice is a feat. This year’s show included parachutists, the Claw, pyrotechnics, and other trapeze numbers that gave the show depth of talent and there were “ooh and ahh” moments throughout the show. The show followed the story from start to finish including Andy’s story of going to college, the toys going to the daycare, Barbie and Ken meeting, and my favorite, the Aliens and the Claw! The dance performance was spectacular with both the Army Men and Barbie dolls, my daughters who dance loved that most. The makeup on the soldiers was stunning and their marching and dancing all while skating was phenomenal! The music was fun, the costumes and props just fit amazingly well for the show, it was overall a super night!

It looks like so much fun! My kids will go crazy for it. Except for one thing: Eating Jessie’s brains is too much for me. I’m saying nononono to that one. 😉
