“Mom, I’m hungry! Can I have a ‘insert junk food here?’” As a mom of two very active boys it’s a challenge to keep snacks on hand at home. They want something quick and easy so they don’t waste time while we are running between school and extra-curricular activities. I want them to eat a snack that’s good for them, but also not leave a mess for me to clean up later. Usually these two criteria don’t come together so everyone is happy. Until now…
We all tried and fell in love with the Whole Fruit Smoothie, the newest addition to the Whole Fruit Line by J & J Snack Foods. My oldest child enjoyed them so much; he tried to hide them from his little brother so he didn’t have to share.
He can’t even be bothered to microwave them. He eats it straight from the freezer. Says he feels like his getting dessert before dinner.
My younger son loves that it’s a smoothie at home. I avoid making homemade smoothies because of the mess and time involved. He’s kind of picky when it comes to what fruit he’ll eat, but he ate all three flavors!
I love that it’s a wholesome snack they can grab on the way out the door. I must say they are tasty. Strawberry Banana was my favorite. It’s refreshing and creamy and I felt like I was indulging.
I opened the freezer today to find the empty cartons, but didn’t get upset…it was a perfect reminder to add them to the grocery list!!

Have found these Whole Fruit Smoothies about 1.5 years ago in the Food Lion stores……they are fantastic, modest in cost, excellent in quality and flavor….very reliable……especially since aI am Gluten Intolerant!!!
However recently Food Lion has seen fitr to stop carrying them. When we have requested they be put back up on the shelveswe see noi action.
Let’s get them back onto the Food Lion shelves!!!!
