The last condo we had the opportunity to stay in on our trip to the Big Island was one I keep going back to in my mind. It was comfortable and classic and beautiful. Waking up and sitting out on the lanai overlooking the pool and ocean beyond the peace and quiet was welcomed and charming and I felt at home.
Outrigger Kanaloa at Kona condo vacation rentals occupy an 18-acre oceanfront in a quiet residential neighborhood overlooking beautiful Keauhou Bay on Hawaii, the Big Island. The location is lushly landscaped and shaded by coconut palms. These extra-roomy, breeze-cooled condos are perfectly suited for the warm, sunny climate of the Kona Coast.
Below you’ll see the site of my future office and it’s spectacular views. This alone had me falling in love with island life all over again, I could easily enjoy my coffee here morning, noon and sunset! Though our last days on the island were cloudy and voggy, photos still captured perfection.
From the moment we checked-in and met the general manager, I knew we were staying in a community where you were ohana, family. Gardeners, maintenance, lobby staff, and even our neighbors were all warm and welcoming with smiles on their faces. Before we unpacked we took a walk around the vast landscape and were amazed by the beauty of all the shades of hibiscus, the neighboring golf greens, and the contrasting colors of the coast line at the edge of the property.
Our condo was completely furnished with all the comforts of home with the magnificence of views galore.
Living room had ample seating for relaxing and dining. The kitchen was narrow yet had a breakfast nook at the end for extra seating and had all we needed to cook and prepare a meal.
The lanai outside the living room boasts a chaise lounge chair, table and chairs and outdoor bar area and a storage area with pool/beach toys. The master bedroom was large with a very comfortable king bed, television and full bath with jacuzzi tub. Outside the master was another lanai with two chairs and a small table. Washer and dryer inside the condo is an Outrigger staple as is the air conditioning that is room specific. You have the choice of three pools on site, one that is primarily for adults, all equipped with plenty of tables, chairs and nearby grills for outdoor dining. Plus a full tennis court is available to guests.
Inside the lobby a concierge is available to make activity and meal reservations and there are pay per use computers for printing boarding passes and such.
Yes, we are ready to move in when given the chance. We can’t say how much we loved this property on the Big Island, even our last tour van picked us up just outside the parking area. Aside from getting food, we could have enjoyed our time in the condo complex without leaving the entire week!
