I have a fun stocking stuffer idea for you, Jingle All the Way 2 is now on Blu-ray/DVD starring the hilariously funny actor and one of the most familiar voices in movies today, Larry the Cable Guy! Mine just came in the mail today and I cannot wait to see it, mostly because I was on set during filming back in early spring in Vancouver, Canada! But, more on that next week!
The days leading up to Christmas are perfect for catching up on your favorite Christmas-themed movies, especially the ones that you can watch with the whole family. Let the feel-good times begin!
In celebration of the Blu-ray and DVD release of Jingle All the Way 2, we present a list of other classic movies we love to watch during the holidays.
- Home Alone (1990)
Home Alone is one of the most famous Christmas movies of all time and catapulted Macaulay Culkin into comedic stardom. When the McCallister clan goes on a Christmas trip to Paris, the family’s youngest member, Kevin (Culkin), is left behind. A hilarious battle of wits against two burglars ensues while Kevin’s parents desperately try to get back home.
- Miracle on 34th Street (1947)
A Christmas favorite, Miracle on 34th Street takes place in New York City and surrounds the rivalry between two department stores and the lives of their employees. When Kris Kringle, played by Edmund Gwenn, is hired to play Santa at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and, subsequently, its flagship store, lives and opinions change and miracles begin to happen.
- Jingle All the Way (1996)
Starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sinbad, Jingle All the Way revolves around two rival fathers who hysterically try to obtain a Turbo-Man action figure for their sons on Christmas Eve.
- A Christmas Carol (1984)
A classic loved by many, A Christmas Carol tells the story of the grumpy Ebenezer Scrooge. George C. Scott plays the miserable, old man who can’t stand the merryment of the holiday and is forced to face his demons in the unlikeliest of ways.
- Home Alone 2: Lost in New York (1992)
Home Alone 2: Lost in New York is the popular sequel to Home Alone. The McCallister family plans a Christmas trip to Miami and, after a hectic trip to the airport, Kevin is once again separated from his family when he gets onto the wrong plane headed for New York City. The same two burglars from the first movie appear ready for revenge.
