Written by Melissa D., a writer for Jen is on a Journey, she and her husband have two daughters and they live on the central coast.
My husband has been a fan of the Star Wars franchise since first watching the movies as a young boy and over the years my two girls have slowly became fans themselves. We’re all excited for the upcoming release of SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY, on Blu-ray 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, DVD and On-Demand on Sept. 25. When I was offered to review a Star Wars Millennium Falcon deluxe waffle maker, it seemed like a great fit for our family because we all enjoy Star Wars and Disney products. When the movie releases, it will be a fun way to enjoy a breakfast viewing party!
The Millennium Falcon first appeared in the film Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope. The Millennium Falcon is considered a light freighter and is flown by Han Solo and Chewbacca. The Millennium Falcon deluxe waffle maker is pretty accurate model of the starship that we all remember from the movies.
The exterior is an uncanny replica of Han Solo’s trusty YT-1300–just be careful it doesn’t take off from your counter! Whip up waffles, hash browns, cookies and other snacks on the non-stick plates, creating a perfect impression of the slightly shabby but always scrappy light freighter.
Features include:
- Regulating thermostat and weighted lid to ensure perfect and even browning.
- Dual indicator lights let you know when it’s time to pour the batter and when the waffles are ready.
- Waffle maker stands upright and cord wraps under base for compact storage.
- Rebel Alliance symbol on waffle plate.
- Movable Sensor Dish.
- Officially licensed by Disney.
- Non-stick, easy to clean waffle plates
- Measures 14.6” x 9.2” x 5.3”, weighs 4 lbs.
To get started we first whipped up a batch of waffle mix from our favorite boxed mix. We plugged in the waffle maker and were pleased that it heated up and was ready for use in less than one minute. This waffle maker is very easy to use thanks to a red and green indicator light on top of the waffle maker. When the indicator light is lit up with both red and green, it means your waffle maker is in the process of heating up or is cooking your waffle. When it is lit up all red, it means your waffle maker is ready to use or your waffle is done. We threw our first waffle in and in no time the indicator light on top changed to a fully red color to let us know the waffle was done. Surprisingly except for slight over filling the waffle maker our first waffle came out perfect. It was a golden brown and really looked like the Millennium Falcon!
We made several more waffles and each one came out perfect. There is a dial on top of the waffle maker if you would like your waffles darker but we were pleased with how the waffles came out on the lowest setting. We even experimented a little with our waffle toppings. We usually have our waffles with a little butter and maple syrup. This time we served a few with sliced strawberries and chocolate syrup! Yum! Also, clean up was a breeze. We just wiped down the nonstick plates of the waffle maker with a wet paper towel and everything came off quickly and effortlessly.
This Millennium Falcon deluxe waffle maker would make a perfect addition to the kitchen of any Star Wars fan. And in fact after eating our waffles, we decided to break out our Stars Wars DVD collection and have a movie marathon! For more information, visit https://uncannybrands.com/.
