Being a stay-at-home mom with 3 kids gets busier every year for me. My children are 6, 11, and almost 14 and between activities, school, and squabbles, I’m watching that clock every afternoon and counting the minutes down to when daddy gets home from work to help me out. So when dad is home, there’s still more to do like dinner, dishes, baths, and reading. Finally when the kids are all in bed, it’s parents time and time for wine!
When each of the kids were toddlers, I’d have a glass of wine and have to remind them that it was “mommy’s juice” and no they couldn’t have any when they asked for a sip. When I first saw MommyJuice wine at Target, I giggled to myself and I’m sure LOTS of mommies do, they hit it right on the nose with that name!
MommyJuice was founded and is owned by Cheryl Durzy. Being a Mom is a constant juggling act. Whether it’s play dates and homework, diapers and burp cloths, or finding that perfect balance between work and home, moms everywhere deserve a break. So tuck your kids into bed, sit down and have a glass of MommyJuice. We make a MommyJuice Red Wine (39% Cabernet Sauvignon, 32% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc 3% Grenache, 2% Syrah, 2% Zinfandel, 1% Carignan, 0.5% Cinsaut, 0.5% Malbec) and a MommyJuice White Wine (100% Monterey County Chardonnay). Both wines retail for $10 bottle.
So there are two MommyJuice wines to choose from and we got to sample both! The first one was the Red Wine that is a blend of nine different red varietals. Right off the bat the aromas are fruity and I like that in a red! Upon first taste I had to double take that I didn’t buy a sweet white because I got the berry taste and it was nice and not what I expected. I read about the anise finish and my husband is a fan of it in black licorice, he swears he could taste it on the finish. This wine would pair well with meats and even a meaty pizza! I’m really excited about this red, the price is right and the flavor is something I really enjoyed as did my husband.
I always look forward to a white, and this 100% Chardonnay from Monterey County (local to me!) was so delicious. My husband and I drank this with dinner of italian chicken and also finishing the bottle for dessert! Tropical aromas entice you with a crisp tart goodness upon tasting. The white wine is an every day wine, it’s great to share with girlfriends or enjoy at home with dinner.
I love that I can find these wines at Target, I’m there all the time, the price is great, and the wine is local to my area so it’s definitely a win-win! Visit http://mommyjuicewines.com and check out their wine, FUNNY merchandise, and gift packs that will make fabulous holiday presents!
