I’ve been married for 17 and a half years. I was one of the first in my group to marry, so shortly after, I was eager to attend those special events surrounding my friends. For about 5-6 good years, there were showers, bachelorette parties, and more weddings to enjoy, and now it’s slowed down significantly. It seems strange, but now the weddings and parties are of children of my friends and still celebrating for someone’s future is just so special!
The last memorable event I attended for nuptials was my sister in law’s bachelorette party. Now, I never had one. It wasn’t something I was familiar with when I was planning my wedding, but of course you hear about the wild ones. Mine would have never been too wild, but to this day I sort of wish I had one. My sister in law’s event was a weekend event that included wine tasting, fun meals, spa treatments, and sure a little wild fun! It had it all and with a mix of friends, family, and family-to-be we all had such a great time!
If I could go back in time and have my very own Girls’ Night In bachelorette-style party, here are three things I’d do with a little help from my favorite store’s Target Wedding Registry as well as their Target Wedding Catalog.
1. Martini Bar: I love a good fruity martini and with the Libbey Classic Martini Glass Set of 8 we could set a bar with vodka and a variety of mixers and rimmers for all my guests to sample and enjoy!
2. Cupcake Decorating: You have to have sweets at a party, so how about making cupcakes and decorating them together as a group? Kitchen Essentials® from Calphalon® 12 Cup Cupcake Carrier and Pans are perfect for baking the yumminess then you can properly display them on the Tiered Pedestal Serving Plates!
3. Wishes and Dreams: This may sound silly and slightly childish, but I’d love to buy a set of Fieldcrest® Luxury Down Pillows and have a marker available for my guests. On each pillow have your friends leave you with a special wedding wish, piece of advice, or any sweet message and have them write them on the pillow. Even though you and your spouse will cover the messages with pillow cases think of of those special words each night as you go to sleep for a loving memory from your friends for your life together!
Planning a wedding or dreaming of a do-over party like I am, what would you do for a Girls’ Night In?
