I’ve stayed in resorts on and off the strip but nothing compares to being right in the heart of the action! Bally’s Las Vegas has prime property right across the street from the Bellagio and next door to the Paris Hotel. Prime showrooms, attractions, fine dining, and shopping surround the resort within walking distance and we recently took advantage of it all with a stay in their newly remodeled Jubilee Tower.
When possible, checking in early is an option if your room type is clean and available. Being a guest of Allegiant Air, our flight arrived early in the day and unfortunately our room wasn’t quite ready. No need to rush though, signing up for a Total Rewards Player’s Card allowed us time to do a little gambling as well as take advantage of their two for one drink coupons. I tweeted @BallysLV prior to our stay and they gave me a texting code to use for additional offers such as drink specials and show offers, talk about great social media service! My husband and I found a nearby bar and ordered up our drinks and found some fun gaming in the casino. The front desk had my cell phone number and let me know a phone call would come when my room was ready which I loved. I sat down in front of the Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory penny slot and my husband wished me luck. He isn’t much of a gambler so he sat with his newspaper and crossword puzzle at the bar which was within view of my machine and we awaited the call. Luck was on my side and when we were informed our room was ready I was up about $40, great start to our trip!
Elevators to the Jubilee Tower are adjacent to Nosh café, poker room, and the Jubilee showroom. Our set for our floor were to the right and we headed up and I noticed right away that from the smoky casino, the elevators were a breath of fresh air with ventilation. On the 19th floor, we exited and walked down a long hallway with new bright red and black carpet. Again, the ventilation works well in this tower, the clean air carried into our non-smoking room. Drapes open we walked into a bright, wide space, and we made bee line to the window for this amazing view! The Paris Hotel’s Eiffel Tower stands grand outside the window with views of their lovely pool, tower restaurant, and my husband even caught these few angles of the Bellagio’s fountains. Having also stayed at the Paris, our views weren’t this good!
You can imagine the view is just as spectacular at night! The big space allows for stretching out on other spots aside from just the bed. The desk has a great chair and then there is a great lounge chair to watch in. The red, tan, and white colorswent well with the contemporary theme of the room and it’s freshness was appealing. I loved the unique cylindrical and spherical pillows that added to sitting and sleeping comfort. The bed was amazing, with just the amount of pillows, it was the perfect softness. We appreciated the bed most on the late mornings where we slept in thanks to our perfectly arranged itinerary!
Late mornings also meant room service breakfasts. The calls were placed and delivered each of the 3 mornings we stayed within 30 minutes and often within 20! With just a few drink substitutions, we ordered the same thing each morning and the freshness was spot on each time while our hot food was just that, hot!
The bathroom was large, the shower a great size (for two!) and with plenty of room for two people to get ready at the same time.
Housekeeping was efficient each day, we always had plenty of towels, shampoo, soap, and in-room coffee amenities. The room comes with a safe for your valuables, iron/ironing board, and mini-fridge for drinks and leftovers!
Our itinerary had us dining elsewhere, but there are many options to eat within Bally’s like the Sidewalk Cafe for breakfast and lunch, The Tequila Bar and Grill, SEA: The Thai Experience, BLT Steak, and for something familiar and delicious, Sparro and Nathan’s hot dogs!
We enjoyed Veronic Voices in the Jubilee Tower on first evening. Veronic caught her break in Canada as the opening act for the legendary Celine Dion before arriving in Vegas, Dion also co-produces her show. An amazing vocalist impersonating over 50 female artists from Judy Garland to Taylor Swift, it was literally like the jackpot of concerts where we heard songs from so many of our favorite singers in one showroom! Humble and sweet, in between sets, Veronic engages the audience with stories of stardom and her admiration for all the singers she impersonates. Her personality, impressive vocals, and accompaniment of dancers made for a great show! I found myself singing along most of the songs and especially enjoyed her tribute to the 80’s. About 90 minutes long, the show has you begging for more and also inspired to continue singing in the shower and the car because you never know where it will lead!
Veronic’s show is family friendly and is offered Thursday-Sunday. For more information on the hotel and ticket prices for Veronic Voices visit http://www.ballyslasvegas.com/.
Our stay was hosted in conjunction with the LVCVA media tour, all opinions 100% our own.
