Recently, my 8 year old daughter, Kylie and I were able to attend of a preview of the new Dreamworks Trolls Afternoon Tea the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco. This is a family friendly tea party for kids of all ages. The new tea party will be available Fridays and Saturdays at the Laurel Court restaurant from 1:00pm-3:30pm starting June 14, 2019 through September 1, 2019.
Kylie was in heaven at this party! Upon sitting down we were served a delicious purple colored lemonade and given a list of over 10 different teas to choose from. We ended up choosing to try Flora’s Berry Garden. It was beautiful red colored tea that offered sweet layers of berry and tart hibiscus.
We were soon served our tea along with a 3 tier tray of both sweet and savory snacks! All the food was delicious and adorable! In fact many of the items seemed too cute to actually eat! The savory treats included a honey glazed ham and cheese brioche, a compressed cucumber triple decker sandwich, Vol au Vent filled with Poppy & Branch mushroom hunt, DJ Suki Egg Salad with White Bread and Cooper Smoked Salmon Pretzel. Everything was delicious but Kylie was a big fan of the DJ Suki Egg Salad with White Bread and I loved the honey glazed ham and cheese brioche.
The sweet snacks included Mr. Dinkles Eclairs, Cloud Guy Crunch Meringue, Poppy & Branch cupcakes, Cookies, and mango flowers! The sweet snacks were all so delicious, it was impossible to pick a favorite.
While the tea party was happening guests were greeted by the Trolls characters, Poppy and Branch. There was plenty of time to interact with the trolls and lots of great photo opportunities. There are also some fun Trolls themed decorations placed around the room.
And while supplies last, you can receive a Trolls Hair Hugger at the tea. The Hair Hugger is similar to a snap bracelet, it can be worn around you wrist or wrapped around a pony tail or bun to create a “troll-centric” hair style! Kylie was a big fan of the Hair Huggers and has been wearing hers on her wrist daily.
The new Dreamworks Trolls afternoon tea is a great family friend way to spend an afternoon in San Francisco. I highly recommend it (even parents will have fun!). And if you are looking to extend your stay in San Francisco the Fairmont Hotel has packages available on their website that include this fun tea party. I attended the Dreamworks tea at the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco on Saturday 7/13 and was so saddened to find out there are actually no characters at the tea! It is just Troll themed desserts. Please clarify this in your post, as I expected it when I made the reservation.

We’ve amended the story to reflect what was experienced during the media preview, I’m sorry it was assumed the Trolls would be at the tea events. If you click the link to the Fairmont website, it will state what is included with the price of the tea, it does not include a visit from the characters.

I thought the service was terrible and the food was cute but tasted terrible and was not even chilled! It tea party cost nearly 400$ for 45 minutes of minimal entertainment. For this price, you should get waited on, table cloth on table, nice china to eat with and at least a somewhat friendly staff. So terribly disappointed, worst over priced tea party.
