Beer is one of the oldest drinks the world has ever known, and international Beer Day gives fans worldwide just one more excuse to have a round on the first Friday in August.
The start of another weekend beckons us to put aside our work, set aside differences, and come together to celebrate our shared love of beer.
National Today — the internet’s #1 authority on holidays — has some survey results I thought you might find interesting.
The National Today data science team surveyed 2,000 Americans about everyone’s favorite hoppy beverage and found that:
More than a third of people surveyed said that, when meeting friends at a bar, beer is the beverage of choice — this tops every other option!
67% of people surveyed claim to prefer domestic beer to its imported counterpart.
The top 5 states for beer lovers are Massachusetts, Missouri, Wisconsin, Oklahoma and Arizona.
When asked how much beer they drink per week, 34% said 2-4 bottles, 31% said one bottle, 18% said 5-9 bottles, 8% said 10-15 bottles, 5% said 21-30+ and 4% said 16-20 bottles.
Are you a beer fan? What is your favorite brew and what state do you call home?
