On special occasions I love to drink a good sparkling wine or champagne, there is something celebratory about it. Over Thanksgiving, my mom, my brother, and I sampled the 2010 Ricossa Moscato d’Asti and immediately fell in love with it!
100% Moscato Bianco grapes grown in the Piedmont area of Italy, meaning “at the foot of the mountains,” the grape has thrived in this area for centuries surrounded on three sides by the alps. The sandstone and chalky soil lends to good aromatics and naturally high acidity in the grapes.
Upon first scent, you get a lovely peach aroma that made my mouth water! The taste gives you a zip on your tongue thanks to the carbonation as well as a warm honey sweet flavor, really incredible! We enjoyed the bottle with crackers and cheese prior to Thanksgiving dinner and finished the bottle between us in less than 30 minutes, we craved more to be honest! Pairing well with spicy foods, and creamy desserts, like I’ve always said, delicious drinks are lovely when shared with the ones you love!
With a retail price of only $14.99, my brother was shocked, “that’s it!” With that I’m buying a case for Christmas, half for him, half for me! Find this and other great wines by visiting, http://www.touchstone-wines.com/FindWine/tabid/73/Default.aspx

Hi! I also fell in love with this wine you are mentioning above (Ricossa Moscato d’Asti) and I was wondering if you knew of a red wine tasting just as delicious. Please let me know and thanks so much! I’m not very familiar with wines but it’s never too late to learn. 🙂
Ciao,
