We have a weakness in our home for stuffed animals.  I’m not sure, but I think that I’m a sucker for them because I didn’t have many growing up, and they’re so sweet and loveable for little kids!  Our number one favorite is animals we can can make for ourselves from Build-a-Bear Workshop!  We’ve been making and loving on stuffed pets from Build-a-Bear since my 15 year old was little.  We’ve had birthday parties there, we’ve taken our girl scout troops there, we can’t get enough!  Guess what?  They’ve just released a brand new first ever make-your-own Disney Princess Palace Pets collection at Build-A-Bear Workshop and we got to check one out first hand!

Pumpkin, Cinderella’s sweet white puppy came to our door and my 8 year old was immediately smitten!  The details of the eyelashes and blushed cheeks on her face as well as the sequined dress and bejewel necklace and crown had my daughter begging for a similar outfit!  She even had silver “glass” slippers just like Cinderella, even I thought she was precious!  You don’t know how badly my daughter would love a pet puppy for real, too bad we have a house full of allergies!

Build-a-Bear pays attention to details, check out the paw prints on the bottom of the shoes!

There are two Palace Pets available at the moment:

Pumpkin ($25) is a glamorous, silky white puppy owned by Cinderella. She has big blue eyes, a small brown nose and her hair is styled in a fashion similar to Cinderella’s hair.

-Pumpkin likes to wear her Blue Fancy Dress ($13.50) and Disney’s Pumpkin Accessory Set ($12.50) to royal balls where she can twirl and dance.

Treasure ($25) is a curious and playful coral red kitten, special friend to Ariel.

Thinking about your little one’s next birthday party?  Why not have it somewhere you don’t have to do the work, you don’t have to clean up, and your house stays clean?  I have your attention, don’t I?  We recently had a party for my 6 year old and her friends along with my teen and her best friend.  It wasn’t their birthdays, but we celebrated some fantastic milestones in our family, 8th grade and a Kindergarten graduates at Build-a-Bear Workshop and it was a BLAST!

My girls already love shopping, so when we headed to Valley Faire Shopping Center in Santa Clara to the “happiest place in the mall” it was all smiles!  There are some ADORABLE new animals this summer that you are going to love, the Under the Sea collection is bright and colorful and bonus,  they come with sea buddies!

The Oodles of Fun Octopus has got to be my personal favorite, it’s extremely soft, the color is so pretty and it has my favorite sand dollar shell as it’s buddy! The girls were over-whelmed with all the fun choices of the new products and the traditional bears.  My oldest daughter and her best friend and one other girl chose the Coral Beach Bunny with the starfish buddy and like the Octopus, the material was so ultra soft, “we can use these as pillows they’re so soft!” they said!When it comes to company parties, Build-a-Bear puts on a magnificent one.  You get a leader per 10 girls and ours was Jackie and she was energetic, fun, informative, and kept the girls busy.  They had animals on their heads, they chanted when they filled the bears, played games while waiting ever so patiently.  I love when they get the special hearts for inside of their animals and rub them on their heads for smarts, own hearts for love, etc!  The girls then can give their animal a bath, find clothing for their animal, and even find accessories like iPods that play real music for their new friend!I’m not sure who had more fun, the Kindergarteners or the girls entering high school next year!

After the party, the girls get their animal’s birth certificate, a box to carry them home in (and color!) and this month they received a special tee and beach towel with a $30 purchase (while supplies last!).  The party was fun, organized, exciting, and well worth the time and money, sound fun?
