Frozen is still topping charts for ticket sales and the music promotion isn’t slowing down a bit.  I haven’t heard a Disney song played on the radio that I can recall as much as Idina Menzel’s “Let it Go!”  My daughter is still oohing and ahhing at every movie-related thing she sees and when she came home to this Frozen surprise, she squealed with joy!  JAKKS Pacific has launched a line of Frozen toys like dolls, dress-up and role play items that allow girls to live ou the adventures of Princess Anna and Princess Elsa.

Elsa and Anna Toddler Dolls
Dress in their iconic outfits, just mini size, these dolls have precious faces, soft skin, braided hair, a hair brush, and of course a tiara!  My daughter is infatuated with the doll’s hair and loves to style it and restyle it.  I had her not clip the rubber band at the crown so we wouldn’t use it.  I love the little details like the snowflakes on the brush and shoes! Each doll comes with their own mini-Olaf and retail for $24.99!

Enchanting Anna and Elsa Dresses
Perfect for dress up and imaginary play, the Anna dress has a satiny skirt with glittery flowers and the bodice is decorated with a glitter design and cameo of Anna.  The Elsa dress is a multi-layer skirt with glitter snowflakes and like the glitter design on Anna’s dress, Elsa’s has it too with her own cameo.  The sheer sleeves aren’t itchy which is big when playing dress-up!  Each detail on the dress is thought out and the quality is nice for the price!  No buttons or zipper on this dress, my daughter got it on and off easily with it’s velcro squares.  These dresses would be great for Halloween! Elsa’s Musical Snow Wand
It’s a snow globe, it’s a wand, it’s a music box all in one!  Elsa’s mini figurine sits inside the snow globe with beautiful shimmery glitter floating about her when shaken.  Bonus, press the button on the wand and Let it Go is played!

Love this wand and as a mom like that we can save the battery life by turning the switch to off.  The globe is on the heavy side and it can break if dropped so we take extra care of it.  Taken out into the sunlight the glitter is extra beautiful and a must-have for any Frozen fan!  The wand is at a great price of $12.99!

So Frozen has been out a week, how many times have your kids watched it? I think we’re only on five but it’s because my kids have so many other extracurricular activities going on right now, if not the number would be quite high I’m sure!

Walt Disney Animation Studios presents a chilly twist on one of the most humorous and heartwarming stories ever told and it will melt your heart.  Fearless optimist Anna sets off on an epic journey — teaming up with rugged mountain man Kristoff and his loyal reindeer Sven — to find her sister Elsa, whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom of Arendelle in eternal winter. Encountering Everest-like conditions, mystical trolls and a hilarious snowman named Olaf, Anna and Kristoff battle the elements in a race to save the kingdom.

My youngest daughter (K) is 8 and saw the movie in the theater with dad.  My oldest daughter (J) is 15 and promised when we got the DVD they could watch together and it happened last week.  The little one was so excited to introduce my oldest to her favorite song, “For the First Time in Forever” as well as the uber famous “Let it Go!”  K would stare at J’s face as they sat on the couch and anticipated her every action and reaction to the film, it was precious.  K wanted her older sister to be just as in love with the movie as she was and I think now she is.  I’ve caught the girls doing duets of the movie’s songs in the bedroom they share in the mornings getting ready for school!

The girls giggle about Olaf and his song “In Summer” and the fact he didn’t realize he’d melt in the weather, they are both so happy that he was given a cloud!  Both girls talk about the surprising part of the movie was that Hans was lying to Anna the whole time!  Despite the age gap, the bottom line is that my two girls are the same, they both love the majestic beauty of Anna and Elsa and every girl dreams to be a princess!  As well, they (as do mom and dad) love the comedy that Olaf and Sven bring to the picture.

Hotel de Glace-Ice Hotel in Quebec City, served as inspiration for Elsa’s ice palace, and this year featured a Frozen family activity cave and a room modeled after Anna and Elsa’s bedroom.  This place is on my personal bucket list of places to visit because of it’s overall theme, the photos I’ve seen are just so stunningly gorgeous I had to share!  Below check out a video of Frozen’s Directors Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee as they visited the Hotel de Glace.  The power of ice and snow was overwhelming to them!
