Comedies are my favorite movies to catch in the theater. Nowadays the skyrocketing prices for a ticket and some popcorn keep me hesitant to heading to the movies, but laughing out loud is often worth it’s weight in Junior Mints! Coming July 5, the perfect summer comedy, THE WAY, WAY BACK starring Steve Carell, Toni Collette, Allison Janney, AnnaSophia Robb, Sam Rockwell, Maya Rudolph, Rob Corddry, Amanda Peet, and Liam James will hit the theaters. I’ve missed Steve Carell since he left the Office, and with a cast like that, I’m heading to see it!

Official Synopsis
THE WAY, WAY BACK is the funny and poignant coming of age story of 14-year-old Duncan’s (Liam James) summer vacation with his mother, Pam (Toni Collette), her overbearing boyfriend, Trent (Steve Carell), and his daughter, Steph (Zoe Levin). Having a rough time fitting in, the introverted Duncan finds an unexpected friend in gregarious Owen (Sam Rockwell), manager of the Water Wizz water park. Through his funny, clandestine friendship with Owen, Duncan slowly opens up to and begins to finally find his place in the world – all during a summer he will never forget.

The movie has so many one-liners that my family uses over and over (Just Keep Swimming, I’m a Natural Blue, Aww..You Made Me Ink!) and the story just captures your heart each time you view it. I’m a huge Ellen DeGeneres fan and she really makes the movie. Our whole family looks forward to seeing this again in the theater in 3D!
