About Temps de Flors
Temps de Flors reigns from the Sumarroca winery, just north of Barcelona. The Sumarroca family has dedicated their passion and resources to caring for the vineyards and winemaking for over two decades. Family patriarch, Carles Sumarroca, has partnered with the Rovira i Virgili University in Catalonia to cultivate and study over 360 different grape varieties in his experimental vineyard. They currently tend 1,100 acres of vineyard divided between several different properties all located within the limits of the Denomination of Origin Penedés.
Lisa’s Take: I had the pleasure of reviewing a delightful white wine. I think what makes this review more special is that I prefer red wine over white every time…except now. My mind has been changed in this case, or should I say bottle! The wine has a beautiful aroma upon opening, the smell of flowers is present. I poured my first taste expecting to regret accepting this review and was very pleasantly surprised.
Temps De Flors has a light flavorful taste, perfect for any night. I enjoyed mine on warm spring night by the fire pit. Unlike most white wines that leave my mouth and tongue with a dry, cottonmouth feeling, this one did not. While it was sweet, the sweetness did not overpower the flavor. The balance of the Muscat, Xarel.lo and Gewurtztraminer renders this white wine very palatable. I would highly recommend this wine for an evening at home or to share with friends. I can’t wait to get another bottle to try with a meal!

We have an active family life that includes hobbies like baseball, hiking and most things adventurous. Our family enjoys visiting the food haunts we have seen on shows like Man Vs. Food. We love to conquer the food challenges; although we do the challenge all together! We often find unique and exciting things to do by cruising the Groupons that are sent via email. I work full time as a sales coordinator and my husband is a local business owner. He works hard to develop new business ideas for his local pizzeria, Domino’s. We work hard and play hard, but most importantly we enjoy our time together as a family. Our most recent adventure put us in the Arizona desert for a rugged 4X4 jeep tour! What fun! We plan on conquering the roller coasters of Magic Mountain during the warmer months ahead! Enjoy life!
