As a lover of red wines, I find that I’m always not only willing to try a new blend whenever the opportunity arises, but I’m also eager to try unique and different varietals, too. When I said yes to trying a wine by VOGA Italia, I didn’t know I’d be saying yes to both!From first look, VOGA stands out in a sleek and sexy glass cylinder — a modern version of sophisticated cool. The radically chic bottle is corked, then topped with an elegant resealable cap creating a refined fusion of form and function.
You can see why I was intrigued! Before I knew the bottle was corked, I was actually surprised that a plastic cap could do the trick of keeping it sealed and spill proof. 
When I discovered the cork, I was pleased to realize this is truly a winery that knows what it’s doing. Once the bottle was opened and poured, I was happy with the color. The bottle we tasted was a VOGA Vino Rosso Dolce Sweet Red Wine. Upon first taste, I found it to be exactly that — sweet, but not overpowering or overly sweet. It was a light and refreshing wine that would pair nicely with a light dinner or even dessert. A treat to be discovered later was that the 2nd glass, a few days later, tasted even better. I find that’s sometimes the case once a wine has had a longer chance to breathe, and I greatly enjoyed my second round.

I would recommend picking up a bottle to try if you get the opportunity. I’m especially interested in trying one of their Sparkling wines, which are mentioned on their website at www.vogaitalia.com. Their site definitely goes along with their “sleek and sexy” marketing of all their wines, which I look forward to trying further.
