I have been in the market for a new pair of sunglasses for the last few years. You see, the pair I was wearing were almost 8 years old, so it was definitely time for a new pair and an updated style!
I have always had a hard time with sunglasses. Frames are usually either too big or too small, hence wearing the same ones for 8 years! I’d really given up looking when I got the opportunity to try out Pacific Rim Eyewear. What was intriguing to me about their sunglasses was that Sally, along with her husband Chris, started designing them for the same reasons I had give up looking, nothing fit right! While Sally designed Pacific Rim Eyewear with Asians in mind, and last I checked I don’t fit that ethnic category, they claimed their sunglasses worked well for anyone that has a lower nose bridge, higher cheekbones or wide temples. While I wasn’t sure that was why traditionally styled sunglasses never seemed to fit me, it was worth it to find out if Pacific Rim could fit the bill.
I chose the Cali (style PRW-02BR) a black frame with a gradient lens. You also get a polarized or non-polarized option. I went for the polarized one. The other reason I hadn’t switched my glasses in 8 years, is that I wear them ALL the time when I am outside because I get migraines. When I found one that worked, I didn’t want to chance switching them. I was hopeful with the design of the Cali that the wider earpieces would help keep the peripheral light out, which helps to reduce my chance of migraines. After making my choices I couldn’t wait for my Pacific Rim Eyewear to arrive!
I have been wearing my Cali Sunglasses for a few weeks, and I can’t say enough great things about them! The fit is fantastic and I am amazed at how light they are on my face! Pacific Rim has to have the most comfortable pair of sunglasses I have ever had. I love the design and that they lenses are not huge on me, and they seem to be holding up to my constant on and off wear on them. But the ultimate test is when someone else notices, especially if you have been wearing the same thing for 8 years! My kids noticed right away and told me how pretty I looked with them. I will take that compliment any day! My husband, friends and family have also commented on how nice the sunglasses look on me. As for my ultimate migraine test, I haven’t had one since switching to my Cali Pacific Rim Eyewear sunglasses! Which for me having a great fitting, great looking, and great performing pair of sunglasses is definitely a GREAT pair of sunglasses!

Those you chose are a nice shape for your face. I would get ones too that block lots of light. I just can’t see if the sun is bright.
