Ever notice that we all want the exact type of hair that we were not born with? Born with straight hair? We want it curly. Curly haired girls always wish for straight. I know I’m guilty of this. My hair has always been naturally curly. By curly I mean frizzy, unruly, big, etc. I’ve always been envious of the shiny, straight hair of others. Consequently, I’ve tried every straightening gadget and product out there. If I’m being honest, I’m also a bit lazy. I know I can have great, full hair if I’m willing to painstakingly blow it dry with a round brush, add product, and iron with a flat iron. I just don’t have that kind of time (or patience). You know it was “hair washing day” if I’m curly. I let it dry and then straighten the next day. Timing it so that I have “good hair” for special events is a feat unto itself. I’m sure you can relate.
Naturally, I was very eager to try the new straightening brush Simply Straight™. Here are a few details about it:
- Simply Straight™ is a ceramic straightening brush that provides a revolutionary way to straighten and smooth all types of hair in minutes, without flattening, frying or damaging tresses. Perfectly straightens hair fast and easy!
- Simply Straight™ combines the power of salon heat straightening up to 450° with the gentle styling ability of a brush to make straightening hair as easy as brushing it. The unique ceramic-wrapped bristles easily detangle and lift hair at the root to evenly deliver gentle heat around every strand, for straight, healthy, shiny hair that’s manageable and loaded with volume.
- Combining innovation with simplicity, Simply Straight™ effortlessly tames unruly curls, waves and frizz, delivering long-lasting salon-quality results in no time. Simply Straight™ has adjustable temperatures for specific hair types and heats up to the ideal temperature in seconds.
- Simply Straight’s™ bristles are coated for safe and gentle straightening and a voluminous finish. The Simply Straight™ brush heats up fast and has an “auto shut off” feature that activates after 60 minutes of power.
- For best results and a sleek finish, use on dry hair and brush slowly in a pulling motion to ensure hair gets deep into the inner area of the brush.
It promised to be fast and easy and that’s right up my ally. I was immediately impressed with the digital display and the fact that it heats up to 450 degrees. It heats up very quickly (around 2 minutes). I’m not super gifted when it comes to styling my hair so I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to learn. No learning curve at all. Just pick up a section and brush. I was equally surprised by the results. Simply Straight™ was able to smooth and straighten my hair as well as my flat iron. Even better, is that it didn’t take away the natural volume. When using a flat iron, I sometimes feel like my hair is “too straight”.
Simply Straight™ is a great, inexpensive addition to anyone’s hair styling arsenal. I know with more time to play with techniques and heat settings I will be even more likely to reach for this tool first when I want full, straight, shiny hair. The information, product, gift card, and giveaway have been provided to me by Ontel. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I have the exact same type of hair as you and NO time to do anything with it. I wear ponytails pretty much everyday for that reason. I have been looking at this brush for some time and waiting to hear a real experience with it so thank you for that. I will now have to get one and try it. Thank you for trying this from ALL the curly, frizzy, big hair girls out here!!!

My hair issue is that it gets tangled and frizzy. If I put serum on, it gets oily.

My daughters hair is crazy curly and I have to help her blow dry then straighten it all the time now that she’s 12 and wants straight hair. This would be AMAZING to win for her and me. Thank you so much for the chance!!

My biggest challenge is part of it is straight and part of it is curly so it looks stragely most of the time.

My biggest challenge is getting my thin hair to look a bit more volumized.
