Having just returned from Disneyland and having seen Merida walking in the park, I was thrilled to come home for a family movie night featuring Brave! Despite two of my family members with the stomach flu, we were still able to just turn on DirecTV and watch the movie On Demand, just without our planned company. It was still a fun, relaxing evening!
Disney Pixar’s BRAVE is Now Available On Demand!
Pixar Animation Studios whisks you away on an astonishing adventure to an ancient land full of mystery and tradition. Bursting with heart, unforgettable characters and Pixar’s signature humor, for the whole family. Set in the rugged and mysterious Highlands of Scotland, Disney Pixar’s “Brave” follows the heroic journey of Merida (voice of Kelly Macdonald), a skilled archer and headstrong daughter of King Fergus (voice of Billy Connolly) and Queen Elinor (voice of Emma Thompson). Determined to change her fate, Merida defies an age-old custom sacred to the unruly and uproarious lords of the land: massive Lord MacGuffin (voice of Kevin McKidd), surly Lord Macintosh (voice of Craig Ferguson) and cantankerous Lord Dingwall (voice of Robbie Coltrane), unleashing chaos in the kingdom. When she turns to an eccentric Witch (voice of Julie Walters), she is granted an ill-fated wish and the ensuing peril forces Merida to harness all of her resources—including her mischievous triplet brothers—to undo a beastly curse and discover the meaning of true bravery.
Our party started with rolling out the red carpet and a photo shoot. BUT, just before we walked down in fashion, my youngest found the roll and string to the carpet doubles for a perfect bow like Merida uses!
My girls donned some of their pretty clothes and Disney shoes and posed and strolled like movie stars! The Brave Soundrack played in the background getting us ready and excited for the movie.
We ordered pizza and drank gatorade for dinner. We enjoyed coloring in a themed color book/activity book, and got serious on a Brave puzzle that took us into the next morning to complete!
Finally, tuning into DirecTV’s channel 125, we found Brave and ordered the movie and enjoyed popcorn with our blankets on the couch.
