It wouldn’t be a great Mother’s Day for Mom without having mother’s day flowers delivered. In fact, mom’s special day requires only two things: flowers, and endless appreciation for everything mom has done and continues to do! Mother’s Day is May 8th this year and along with a gift from the grandkids, I’m going to be buying flowers for my mom.
Just yesterday on Easter she noticed that no one this season had gotten her flowers (we chose to take her to brunch instead), so I know she’ll be excited for Mother’s Day. ProFlowers.com has an amazing selection of bouquets for the flower/plant loving mom, sister, aunt, friend, grandma, or mother-in-law on your list. I’m so excited that I get to offer a bouquet to one of my lucky readers of Jen is on a Journey!
I got a chance to choose my favorite bouquet and I selected the 30 purple tulips that came in a gorgeous purple vase. I love the flowers, they came in bud form and over the course of a few days they opened up and were just truly a sight on our dinner table.
Arriving in a large box, the plastic sleeve on the outside of the bouquet gives specific directions to keep the sleeve on the flowers for 3-4 hours after trimming the stems an inch and add flower food (included) to the water in the vase. Then, 3 days later, retrim the stems and add the second included flower food packet for health of your blooms. The purple color was royal for the Easter holiday and just brought a smile to my face every time I walked by them, they are quite a unique flower.
I just read that the gardens outside Buckingham Palace were planted with red tulips ready to bloom just before the royal wedding later this week. I bet those will look amazing!
