Last day of school before the holidays and this cold weather has everyone dry as a bone; dry skin, dry eyes, and dry throats! Let’s not forget the colds and coughs going around, I was just at my nephew’s Christmas program and every time the little girl in front of me coughed and sneezed I wished more for a mask!
Lucky for us a package was delivered in the cutest box, upon opening the yodel of “RICOLA” came booming out. Inside we discovered Chruterchraft—
Chruterchraft is Swiss for Ricola’s mix of 10 herbs that is in every cough drop. It stands for efficacy and enjoyment, incorporating all of the Ricola values into one word. All Ricola products are created using naturally cultivated farming methods and contain no pesticides, herbicides, artificial colorings or flavorings.
Around since the 1930’s, these herbal throat drops contain the magical blend of mallow, elder, thyme, hyssop, peppermint, lemon balm, wild thyme, horehound, linden flowers, and sage to provide relief for year-round maladies. I currently take a medication that has a drying side effect on my mouth and throat, Ricola is a perfect solution with a very pleasant and slightly sweet taste. Allergies and colds have my mom as well as the kids coughing this winter so a added bonus is the Extra Strength Ricola with more menthol. My oldest daughter has had adverse reactions to prescribed cough medicine, so I’m hoping the next time she gets a nasty cough, Ricola can help!
