Last week I was stressed, that isn’t anything new since stress is my middle name. But, it was a new and different kind of stress. The holiday season crept up, my oldest is applying to colleges, and my son is trying out for the very competitive high school basketball team, all valid reasons to feel overwhelmed right? So what to I do, the only thing I know how, take care of business. With a grocery store trip and all the ingredients for chicken tacos I pop the food in the crockpot and I go about the day.
Computer work, house work, driving the youngest to dance, then picking up my son from practice and I arrive home to the smell of something burning. Not the chicken! Even in the crockpot I’ve managed to create a disaster in the kitchen and I’m feeling defeated. It’s at that point I want to crawl in a hole and cry, it’s definitely my Because moment.
I know I’m not the only one who has had one of these moments, life is a challenge every day and I am always putting the needs of my husband, my kids, and my work first. When is the last time you took care of YOU? I think about that myself all the time as taking care of ourselves should be front and center, paramount to life balance and our overall well being. Massage Envy understands this and their “Because” campaign is a shout out to moms like me to seek total body care so that the daily grind is do-able, easier, more manageable!
I’ve only had the opportunity to have massages on press trips, maybe three good ones in my entire life! After each experience I tell myself and those around me, “WHY don’t I do these more often?” Massage Envy provides accessible massage and skin care services that should fit into everyone’s lifestyle just as routine manicures, haircuts and dentist appointments are. They’re therapeutic, they recharge your mind, and they give your body the relief it deserves after a stressful day/week/month. Since the holidays are around the corner, consider gifting Massage Envy to other moms in your life!
