It’s that time of year to go to the beach and have a bonfire, head to the woods for some fun camping, or enjoy the outdoor firepit in your backyard with friends and some delicious treats! Duraflame introduces duraflame® Campfire Roasting Logs, the first firelogs specially created for the ideal outdoor campfire cookout. The logs stack and burn like wood for a robust fire that turns into hot, glowing coals – perfect for roasting marshmallows, hot dogs or other campfire treats.
-A stack of two or three individually wrapped pieces creates a fire
-Made from 100 percent renewable resources, including recycled sawdust, renewable bio-wax and real wood charcoal -No petro-chemicals are used
-The 5 pound, four-log bundle is equivalent to burning an entire 24-lb bundle of firewood
-Roasting logs use 75 percent less fuel per fire than firewood and produce more heat per pound.
-Roasting logs burn cleaner than wood, producing 60 percent less particulate emissions than a comparable wood fire in a fire pit.*
-A four-log, 5-pound bundle is ideal for one campfire or a case of six bundles is enough for four to six campfires.
Our Take: After a beautiful spring bbq, we enjoyed our Duraflame campfire roasting logs to make our dessert! They are so simple to use, just loosen the wrappers, stack, and light. The logs burned hot, if you were camping, or it was a cooler night the warmth would be lovely. The hardest part for the girls was waiting the suggested 45-60 minutes for the fire to burn down, only because S’mores were on the menu! Once the hot coals aren’t flaming too high, you can begin roasting your hot dogs, corn on the cob, marshmallows, or whatever you desire! Don’t have a backyard firepit? Use your fireplace, but always open the flue before lighting the logs. Logs still smoke and follow you with the breeze, so you will smell like a campfire, but sometimes that the scent of a great summer day!The four-log bundle is available for a suggested retail price of $5.99. The six bundles are sold for around $29.99. The logs are available nationally at select Walmart, Kmart and Kroger stores, as well as retailers throughout the U.S. More information on all Duraflame products is available at www.duraflame.com.

Great to know about this new offering. I love that you can roast on them later on so it’s not too hot to handle.

We have never tried the Duraflame products because we had been trying to use up old tree/brush we had cleared. I didnt know they burned “cleaner” than wood. I wondered how long they actually burn (last?) Must be pretty good if it takes 45-60 minutes to burn down. So much easier than going out and chopping wood. thanks!

How awesome are these. We have always used them in our fireplace.
Kayla @ TheEclecticElement says
That is so neat! There’s seriously nothing like roasting marshmallows and making smores over a campfire and these logs seem to be accommodating to that AND environmentally friendly 🙂
