When I was younger I remember my brother always going to concerts and heading backstage to meet bands, he had connections and had amazing opportunities. Now with my blog, I’m getting so many amazing opportunities that I get to share with my family, like the recent Text Bands Backstage Event with Demi Lovato!
My youngest was thrilled that she was going on a mommy/daughter night out, and bonus we get to meet Demi Lovato and have her perform privately for us! Thanks to Hallmark, we were set up with Text Bands when we arrived at the San Jose State Events Center. My youngest daughter and I were shown how to text messages on our bands and then with a BUMP of the fists, her message was sent to my band, and mine was sent to hers!Later we were allowed entry into a private room behind the concert venue that was decorated brightly with floor cushions, posters of Demi Lovato, and Text Band signage. The event was catered so family friendly with macaroni and cheese, pizza, sliders, veggies/dip, and drinks. Once we ate, it was time to line up to meet Demi for a one-0n-one photo.
Demi bumped Text Bands with my daughter and her message “Stay Strong” flashed across the screen, she received my daughter’s “love” message! Wow was she beautiful in person. She autographed our lanyards and soon after she performed a few songs for us, unplugged and held a Q&A session for the kids!
Demi recited the Text Bands Oath with us:
I promise to rock my Text Band with pride and express myself with the power of the positive!
If that wasn’t cool enough for all of us moms/dads and kids in attendance, we all had the chance to attend the concert following the event. Hot Chelle Rae opened for Demi and their music was super! My daughter’s first concert, she was exhilarated by the noise and the cheering! The event center was packed and when Demi came on stage it was magical! What a special memory! Tickets for the event were provided, all opinions are our own.
