The third installment of one of the most popular comedic franchises in history, Little Fockers, is out on Blu-ray Combo Pack, DVD, Digital Download and On-Demand as of April 5, 2011 from Universal Studios Home Entertainment. For more than a decade, the antics of the extended Focker-Byrnes family have kept audiences laughing , now the latest chapter in this hilarious family saga turns an eye toward another of life’s milestones – raising kids.
Greg Focker (Ben Stiller) has finally begun to earn the respect of his ex-CIA father-in-law, Jack Byrnes (Robert De Niro) but one important test still lies ahead: will Greg prove that he has what it takes to be the family’s next ‘Godfocker’… or will the circle of trust be broken for good? Returning co-stars Owen Wilson, Blythe Danner, Teri Polo, Dustin Hoffman and Barbra Streisand are joined by newcomers Jessica Alba, Laura Dern and Harvey Keitel in this hysterical family affair.

Our Take: My husband and I love the cast from the first two movies and getting a chance to see this one was a no-brainer. The tension between DeNiro and Stiller as father-in-law/son-in-law has been hilarious from the beginning as DeNiro has never felt Greg lived up to the man for his daughter. This time Jack is shown as the weaker Focker with health issues arising and has high hopes for Greg taking over as the patriarch. The movie alludes to the youngest of the clan, they are in the movie a little with some vomiting and birthday party scenes, but the focus is not on them. We see Greg stepping up his job to get the kids into a good private school so there’s the interaction between him and colleague Jessica Alba, causing Jack to believe he’s cheating like Dr. Bob. Owen Wilson’s character is back and again is pining over lost love Pam (the tattoo scene is pretty funny!). My favorites Roz and Bernie are thrown in a bit but not like in Meet the Parents. My review seems scattered because the movie is, it’s not the best of the 3 but there were some laugh out loud scenes I admit were recycled jokes, but still funny. If you’re a Focker fan, rent it!
We were sent the DVD for an honest review.
