If you want to see a show in Vegas that will have you talking about it, trying to understand it, and wondering how they got their start months after you watched, then check out Blue Man Group at the Monte Carlo!

Two months later my husband and I recall moments from the show that have us dumbfounded as how something so strange and unique and weird and cool and bizarre and exciting got to be so popular!  And, usually we answer our own question.  It’s just that, odd and amazing at the same time.  These 3 guys dressed in black and painted blue have these mesmerizing eyes that just draw you in the moment you buy your tickets and stand in line for the show.Entering the theater, remnants of what looks like unrolled toilet paper have guests intrigued as to what went on in the last show!  Light shows had me worried that my husband and I would develop a migraine headache, but we tried not to think it and wished any away.  Out from the stage a massive balloon in the shape of an eyeball begins to float about the theater.  An eyeball!  Another appears and looks to me like it’s dressed as a gypsy with a bandana and earrings.   As people began to fill the theater, I noticed the first few rows of people donned hooded ponchos.  Phew, thank goodness we’re like 15 rows back, we’ve been in the Splash Zone at SeaWorld before, it’s not for the feign of heart.Trust me, the show is a feast for the eyes!  Some of the things you’ll see is the Blue Men working on huge iPads (GiPads), massive drum beats with full on paint splattering (remember the rain coats for the first few rows?), tons of crowd interaction, PVC pipe, and a kinda disgusting chest cavity spew!  You’ll be astounded to see how many marshmallows a Blue Man can catch in his mouth, as well as some Twinkie fun with an audience member.  That whole crowd interaction is fun when a set of huge color-chaging balls are sent around the theater, but I’m always terrified to be chosen from the audience to participate on the stage. The Blue Men walk about the audience quite a bit and yes I’d duck down as if I was looking through my purse, but many audience member love this part of the show!Did I mention they never speak a word?! So they are like blue mimes, their bodies speak a thousand words.

The show is a good two hours long, there is some comedic parts to it, but mostly I spent the entire time in awe and bewilderment with my mouth slightly agape!  The finale shoots out that confetti paper with more balloons and at the exit you can pose with the Blue Men and your autograph ends up like a blue paint smudge!  Crazy weird, but something I think everyone should see to judge for yourself, we are glad we did!  There are shows in Boston, Las Vegas, Chicago, New York, and Orlando, for more information and tickets, visit http://www.blueman.com/.
