Last week, the UPS driver came just as my husband was getting home. So in he walks with this great box and says, “I bought you flowers!” Nice try. Haha. I know better because my husband is not into sending me flowers…long story. So you can imagine how excited I was when I opened a box from California Blooms and saw beauty objectified in roses.

Wrapped elegantly, the gorgeous lavender roses came long-stemmed and with their beautiful leaves and I just couldn’t get rid of the smile on my face!

Shipped at the peak of their growing cycle, you can order a dozen or two for the great price of $39 (1 doz.) or $59 (2 doz) and have them ship, in most cases, the next day!  I’m known to think about gifts at the very last moment and roses are one of those presents that can be sent for any occasion.

Included in the box is rose food to add to your vase after you’ve trimmed and maincured the flowers to your liking.  This is my second time ordering California Blooms and I’m so impressed at their longevity!  They were gorgeous heading into their 5th day in a vase!

For the first few days, I enjoyed them very leafy and fairly long.  On day three, I trimmed all the leaves and cut the stems short and gave them a whole new look.  The color is vibrant and I will HAVE to purchase the green roses for sure just because I’ve honestly never have seen anything like it in person!  Want a gift that will give for days and will brighten someone’s day, choose California Blooms!

My take: The day my roses came, I had been down, so when I opened the box they were shipped in, the gorgeous orange color immediately made me smile and forget my woes for the time being.

The 2-dozen long-stems were fresh and beautiful, packed with ice to keep cool, I couldn’t wait to trim them up. They do come very leafy and thorny so when you do start working with them, beware.

I trimmed the stems, added the rose food (included) to the vase and added the water. They are an amazing sight, just brightens the room, and after a full warm days, they look great and have opened up so beautifully!
