My family enjoys a good meal out together now and then, and a favorite destination among us all is Chili’s.  I think what works is that there’s something for everyone there, and the food is always delicious.  And whether I’m there with just one of my kids or our whole family including my parents, nobody goes home unhappy.  So when I heard that they were livening up their menu with some delicious new dishes, I knew it wouldn’t be long before we were there again.

Chipotle?  Margarita?  I’M IN!  I knew I had to try one of the new Fresh Mex Bowl’s, so off to Chili’s we went.

When we arrived, my son was not in great spirits.  The restaurant was crowded for a Wednesday night, and I was lucky to snag one of the tall tables in the bar area for the four of us.  I knew he needed food and he needed it fast, so as soon as our wonderful waitress came by we ordered some of their yummy Queso Dip.  She was on it and before you knew it, the kids were back to their old selves and we were all perusing the menu.  When finally we were ready to order, everyone went for their old favorites, while I ordered the Chipotle Chicken Fresh Mex Bowl.  Something about all the flavors and seasonings mentioned made it impossible to choose anything else.

When our food arrived, I was so quick to dig in that I nearly forgot to take pictures.  Thankfully I did remember and managed to snap a few in the dimly lit room before digging in.

DELICIOUS!  Absolutely inspired to have combined all the flavors that they did into a salad, which by the way has quite a kick!  The chicken was perfect in its texture, making it a great addition on top.  Everything blended together just perfectly and complimented each bite.  I was so glad I ordered it and was only sorry to get so full that I couldn’t even finish it.  While I would love to order this salad again, I’m now intrigued to try another new dish from the many they are offering.

To end my review, I just want to say how pleased I always am with this restaurant.  No matter which one we visit, we always have fantastic service, and this night was no exception.  We had two rather grumpy kids with us, one of which delayed us in ordering.  Our waitress was more than patient and friendly, which a tired mom needs on her side sometimes.  When our food finally came, my daughter noticed one little mistake with her meal, which we weren’t even going to mention.  Unbeknownst to us, the waitress had caught the error and showed up with a whole new dish for my daughter about 10 minutes later.  We had told her it wasn’t necessary but she wanted to right the wrong anyway, for which we were grateful.  On top of all that, there was a mishap at the table and a cup of ranch splattered to the floor.  Without breaking a sweat, our waitress and another had it mopped up and back to normal before we could even sit back down again.  Their attitudes were lovely and kind at a time when a child was upset and embarrassed — I couldn’t have been more appreciative.

Thank you to Chili’s for this opportunity to try one of their new dishes!  Be sure to get to your local Chili’s Grill & Bar as soon as you can and partake of the yumminess.  I know we will be again soon.  Hopefully our waitress won’t mind!
