JAKKS Pacific launched the Disney Fairies Sky High Tink Doll exclusively at Target. Little girls can insert Tinker Bell into the flower base, pull the string and see her soar up into the sky just like real fairies!
If the product is held at an angle, it is designed not to launch, for safety reasons I appreciate. It’s safety mechanism is built into the product to prevent injury to someone standing nearby. The Tink doll can be launched is if the product is held vertically. Notice in the video, the first two attempts are when it’s held at the angle, it doesn’t fly. The third attempt, she’s holding it vertically!
We’ve had and played with this toy for two months now (opened it at the holidays) and it still works great as long as the user holds it straight up and down. Now once in a while the cord will stick and you have to pull on it, let the slack out, then pull again. I told my daughter to have patience with it, pull it slowly and it’ll work every time. I appreciate the safety precautions, and just love the smile on my daughter’s face when it does take flight and then land.
