Some summer days call for the same need for caffeine, but hot coffee is not what you’re looking for.  When we were in Palm Springs a few weeks back, those 115 degree days would not allow for a hot drink, it just didn’t work.  Whether you’re in extreme heat, humidity, or are just looking for a cool cup of deliciousness, Gevalia has come out with Black Iced Coffee  for the Tassimo Home Brewing System!!

Iced coffee is all the rage, and it’s a great taste mid-day that can give you a boost of your favorite flavor. My Take:  I tried out the coffee one afternoon, prepared my mug filled with ice and got started.  A tip to use, is to use a sturdier mug when making the iced drink, the hot water added to a glass of ice could possibly crack the glass!  Just like every T-disc, the bar code lets the machine know the exact time, temperature, and amount of water to make each beverage unique and delicious.   I really enjoy the regular Gevalia coffee and the Black Iced Coffee was by far a stronger, bolder blend for my palate.  As your original ice may quickly melt, I added a second round of ice to my drink.  This helped tone down the strong taste of the coffee for me, then I added my sugar.  It was a nice drink, but it the flavor was stronger than I normally like.
