Imagine you are the new girl in school. High school! How would you meet friends? Have a party, right? Here’s a game for Nintendo DS from Ubisoft that lets you become the party planner.
Imagine Sweet 16
Build your virtual friends network and boost your popularity by hosting parties for your classmates! Plan parties with any theme you want, select the decorations and interior design, choose coordinating activities and pick the right music to entertain your guests. Pay attention to your guests’ moods and make sure everyone has a rockin’ good time to boost your score.
My daughter’s take: Although she’s not 16, she was eager to try out this game! She loves being active in her own parties and those of her siblings, it was a fun treat when it came in the mail. (dictated by her)… At first your “mom” helps you plan your own party focusing around a “cranky cousin” in hopes she will attend and have a good time. You take her around to activities that you planned and when she completes an activity she likes, her happiness is boosted. When her happiness level is full you can move on to the next level. In the next level you “mom” dies and you move to your cousin’s town. You plan parties for the popular girl in school but she eventually turns on you, so you invent a “person” to throw parties for, that “person” is really YOU. So far, the game is fun, my next challenge is the “Winter Formal” and I look forward to getting that prepared.
There you have it, as told by an 11-year old. My daughter is usually a perfectionist, so I might add that not being an expert at this game off the bat she struggled to pass the first level, but eventually did it and continued. Sounds fun and unique. Try it for yourself!
Available at Amazon ($28,94), Target, and Toys ‘R’ Us.
