Enjoy the beauty of winter in Tahoe from Heavenly Ski Resort, the views are truly incredible when riding the Gondola! Located in the center of downtown Lake Tahoe steps from most major hotels and casinos, the Heavenly Gondola holds eight passengers on its way 2.4 miles up the mountain. Panoramic views of snow-capped mountains surrounding Lake Tahoe will leave you in awe!

The 12 minute ride includes a stop at The Deck, a 14,000 square foot observation platform. The deck, at 9,123 feet, provides breathtaking views of Carson Valley, Desolation Wilderness and views of Lake Tahoe.  Here you can take your time and relax, take photos, have a snack or a drink (cocoa, latte, wine, beer),  buy a Heavenly souvenir at The Gondola Sports shop, and take in the beauty in every direction!

Hop back on the Gondola and head up to Adventure Peak where you can enjoy downhill skiing, cross country skiing, snowboarding, sledding, snow tubing, or head to Tamarack Express chairlift for some of the best views of Lake Tahoe and access to a series of hiking trails, ranging from beginner to expert.

Also, visit Tamarack Lodge where you’ll find Adventure Peak Grill,a full-service, outdoor restaurant and bar where you can get a grilled hamburger, hot dog, barbeque sandwiches, french fries, and more.  Elevation 9150′ bar will warm you up with liquid refreshment after a day in the snow and enjoy cocktails while you watch sports on the many televisions!

Whether you’re skiing, snowboarding, hiking or just want a high altitude drink, a ride on the Gondola is a must!  I can’t wait til our summer Tahoe trip to head back up and go on a hike!
