Adjustable pliers incorporate some surprisingly innovative and simple improvements to a hand tool that has been around for ages. The Multi-Groove ratcheting system not only provides twice as many positions but has a press and slide system which allows you to quickly get the pliers in just the right position and this position stays fixed until you press the button again. I found this ratcheting system to be substantial improvement on the typical channel or groove types, I don’t have to relock the pliers or reset with two hands. As I would expect with any of the Irwin tools, these pliers are durable, comfortable to use and a very quality tool.
