Boys will be boys, and frankly, they aren’t happy unless they have something NERF in their hands and are running around like Rambo. Better yet, a toy that doesn’t require batteries, that’s what we found in the Nerf Dart Tag Fury Fire.
The set comes with two new rapid-fire fury fire blasters with auto-advance barrels that hold ten darts, two redesigned scoring vests, two sets of eyewear and 20 darts, the game is perfect for two brothers, father and son…and well son and daughter. With one green and one orange blaster the goal is to “tag” your opponent on the scoring vest and gain as many points as possible. The darts come with velcro tips that adhere securely to the vest when making contact.
Our Take: The game is fun! The boys (husband and son) loved playing this outdoors when we finally had a break in our weather. Taking a break to pump the gun give your opponent a chance to “tag” you and it really encourages running around and being active. The goggles are nice to have especially when friends are over, my oldest two children, myself, and my husband already wear glasses so we don’t need them per say. Take heed that the gun needs to be held level or the darts stray over fences and behind furniture if playing indoors. Over the course of a week we’ve lost 2 darts of the 20. Another way my kids like playing is hanging the vest on something and playing target practice!
Be aware! When the dart make contact to exposed skin, it hurts. Mom found out the hard way when a bullet hit her neck, the velcro scratches and stings from the force it’s shot out of the gun.
