The first time I tried lobster was on our honeymoon. I know now it was the quality of the lobster and having been too chewy, I didn’t eat again until last year, 17 years later! This time around it nearly melted in my mouth as I dipped it warm butter, THAT is what is supposed to happen! When I heard about a Red Lobster campaign for Lobsterfest, the King of all promotions, I jumped on the opportunity to try it again. I mean it’s got to be their signature dish right and they’ve been serving it for over 40 years!
Lobsterfest is back at Red Lobster and they are featuring new mouthwatering lobster selections alongside classic favorites.
Nothing compares to the succulent, delectable flavor of a juicy lobster tail. At Red Lobster, we know our guests crave the best of the best when it comes to lobster, and Lobsterfest offers an exclusive opportunity to enjoy the delicious, high-quality lobster they love. We were the first restaurant to deliver fresh lobster nationwide, and our innovative process allows us to bring fresh, high-quality lobster straight from the coast of New England to guests all around the country.
At Red Lobster, you’ll realize they are lobster experts, they serve approximately 10 million pounds of lobster each year at more than 600 restaurants across North America.
New to the Lobsterfest menu this year are the following selections:
· New! Ultimate Surf and Turf®: A Maine lobster tail baked with crab-and-seafood stuffing paired with a peppercorn-seasoned grilled sirloin topped with Maine lobster meat in a citrus-hollandaise sauce. Served over mashed potatoes, roasted tomatoes and green beans.
· New! Dueling Lobster Tails: A roasted Maine lobster tail topped with tender shrimp in a creamy garlic sauce paired with a golden-baked Maine lobster tail with crab-and-seafood stuffing. Served over mashed potatoes, roasted tomatoes and green beans.
· New! Lobster in Paradise: A split Maine lobster tail fried in our signature coconut batter, spicy grilled shrimp and a lobster-and-shrimp bake topped with toasted crushed macadamia nuts.
My husband and I shared the Dueling Lobster Tails. For $30.99 we saw it delivered to the table next to us and realized it was going to be a big plate of food! Unlimited Cheddar Bay Biscuits came to the table frequently and the meal includes soup or salad as well. Our plate arrived and the tails were huge and the aroma made our mouths water! I dipped into the baked side and he chose the roasted side with shrimp. Amazing flavors, succulent seafood, fresh lobster, we took care of those tails and fast! The plate also comes with a heaping portion of mashed potatoes with sun-dried tomatoes and green beans.
Surf and Turf is definitely our next dish to enjoy on a return trip to Red Lobster, get over there before the end of the promotion and enjoy the best lobster fest around!
