We had the opportunity to stay in 3 locations in Maui and they all were very different. The Westin Maui Resort and Spa gives you a little of everything all in one place.
The Rooms
Our contemporary style room had beautiful white linens, dark wood furniture and a splash of color came from the artwork on the walls. A large room with a king bed, we also had a couch, desk, and amazing lanai overlooking the property, the beach, and the island of Lanai in the distance. Some couples (newlyweds?) could stay in their room, order room service, and enjoy the view all day, but there is just so much to do!
The Pools
What do you think about 5 pools? The landscape of the property encompasses 4 pools for the whole family to enjoy complete with a mini child waterslide and one larger, twistier one for the brave big kids! You’ll find waterfalls, tunnels, a volleyball net, and basketball hoop within the water worlds, and while we were there Paddleboard lessons were done in one of the pools! Couples can enjoy the Oahu “adults only” pool, only those 16 and older only are allowed, there’s a hot tub as well as a Beach Bar for drinks and unlimited pretzels/chips in this area. Water checkers and poker are available if you wish. We loved all the choices, but found that being just steps from the ocean, we’d rather spend time there.
Dining
If you want to stay on the property, you can dine at Ono’s Bar & Grill or Tropica Restaurant and Bar. At Ono’s you’ll be serenaded by nightly music and you have a great view of the nearby pools. My husband and I enjoyed cocktails and pizza here that was just delicious. Tropica is beachside with amazing views of the beach, great fruit platters and Portuguese sausage (my husband’s favorite) and strawberry smoothie shots made for a great breakfast. Great for people watching as well as the public beach path is right in front. The Colonnade Café offers breakfast foods, lunch, and coffee drinks for those early mornings and Sea Dogs has a menu that any kid would love.
Resort Charge
Something you’ll like is that in response to suggestions from their guests, the Westin has eliminated incidental charges in favor of a single resort charge. For a $25 daily fee you will get:
–Access to The Westin Workout area (weights, machines, yoga, pilates, and more) with your room key
–In-room High Speed Internet
–Two bottles of water daily
–Free self-parking
–Shuttle to Kapalua Airport

Spa Services
Whether you want to bask in the sun all day or you have a busy itinerary, you MUST take advantage of the Heavenly Spa or on of the massage cabanas located on the pool deck. While there I saw masseuses eagerly awaiting customers for a semi-private experience. Check out Heavenly Spas menu of amazing treatments.

Westin Kids Club
Though our kids were not with us, families will love the day and night programs for keiki (children) aged 5-12. Full and half-day programs are available that include arts and crafts, fishing, beach play, video and board games, and more. Nigh programs include flashlight adventures in search of geckos and toads and indoor activities similar to the day program. First visits, keiki will receive a complimentary Kids club t-shirts, and each program includes either lunch or dinner. Parents can feel confident that the Discovery Room where the Kids Club operates is a licensed child care facility, and they can enjoy a little time away, while the kids have fun!
Wailele Polynesian Luau
On site you also have access to an amazing Hawaiian cultural experience.

Weddings
Site for many activities, reunions, and special events, the Westin Maui has it’s very own “Director of Romance” who will put together an entire wedding for you if you choose to celebrate at the resort!
Our overall experience was incredible. The resort makes you feel relaxed and welcome right when you walk through the lobby and view the waterfall and the gorgeous pink flamingos. We could have easily stayed the whole week at this property. Just a jaunt to Black Rock where there’s spectacular snorkeling, next door to Whaler’s Village shopping center, and close to sailing opportunities, this is THE place to stay if you want everything at your fingertips.
