Last month I traveled to San Antonio for Culinaria thanks to Val at From Val’s Kitchen! Check out my articles here, http://www.fromvalskitchen.com/tag/san-antonio/. Here’s more of the amazing sights and fabulous food I experienced!
Stayed at the Hotel Havana, so lovely, wonderful service, and just steps from the riverwalk.
Ocho Lounge, Hotel Havana’s restaurant was beyond words with it’s cuisine and specialty drinks (Yvoneeberry!), and seats overlooking the riverfront!
You can’t visit San Antonio without visiting the Alamo. Fascinating tour, a must do!Also, a cruise on the river by Rio San Antonio will have you laughing at the captain’s funny jokes, awe-inspired by the surrounding beauty, and relaxed from the calming ride!Located in the historic Pearl Brewery, check out the Culinary Institute of America, San Antonio. Take classes, snack on their amazing delights (sausage scone!) at the bakery, and shop at Melissa Guerra’s store!
Did I mention the appetizers at Arcade Midtown Kitchen were phenomenal?Arcade’s cocktails…
Casa Hernan has the closest Mexican cuisine to my grandparents and dad’s recipes, love the family style dining!Mark my words, “Tuk Tuk Taproom is going to be HUGE!” Opening late this month, craft beers and asian street fare, the pairing is pure perfection! Plus the owners are uber cool!Did I mention the Yvonneberry? If you dine at Ocho, ask for it and her! Tell her the bloggers from California and Michigan sent you!Press trip was hosted by the San Antonio CVB, www.visitsanantonio.com, 800/447-3372, all opinions are mine.
