As long as I can remember I have been a crafter/scrapbooker/memory keeper (whatever you want to call my creative outlets) and I love keeping up on the latest and greatest in the crafting world. I have always been a traditional girl….love the feel of paper and placing my embellishments on the page by hand. However, let’s be realistic. The digital world of crafting has made it’s way to my craft room since I really have run out of room for any more products (but that doesn’t keep me from then!), and with 4 kids needing rides to practice/dance/school/you name it, I don’t have as much time to drag out all of my supplies. I’m still traditional, but I do love the ease of putting together a themed album or year in review album in one chunk of time.
Recently I learned about MyMemories.com and their MyMemories Suite v4 software. According to www.mymemories.com,“MyMemories Suite v4 is a fun and easy way to create scrapbooks, photobooks and more. This award winning software will help you create beautiful albums, projects, and custom gifts in a matter of minutes.” Anything that saves me time is a winner in my book, so I thought I would give it a try since although I am working at learning how to manipulate that big digital/photo editing software program, I really needed an easy to use scrapbooking program to create layouts, photo frames, and other projects quickly. I recently switched from a PC to a MAC, so I was still working on learning a few in’s and out’s of the MAC when I tried to download the software from www.mymemories.com. Couldn’t do it for a reason unknown to me, so I contacted customer support for MyMemories and they were great! Got back to me quickly and had an answer for my question that worked. Love that!
The MyMemories Suite v4 was easy to navigate around in and after a bit of playing to get used to the software, I set to creating a small book/few layouts from last Easter. I used one of the free templates in the software. The program comes loaded with tons of free templates and www.mymemories.com offers more freebies as well as embellishments, paper packs, and collections of digital elements at a reasonable price. Here is a sample of a layout I created using the Hoppy Easter template:
I was able to create 6 layouts in an 1 ½ hours, which isn’t bad considering I was playing with the software to learn what I can do with it and I was interrupted 10 times by my children while working on it (smile, you know how that is!). I liked that even though the layouts I created were 12 X 12 pages, I was able to print them off at home on my 8 ½ X 11 printer (yes that wide format printer is on my wish list!) and they printed great! I think this will come in handy in printing fun collages using pictures of friends and activities and hanging them on bulletin boards in my girls’ room. You can save your projects to be printed at your local printer or you can upload them to your favorite printer. MyMemories.com also offers printing on a variety of items, including books, wall art, apparel, and a variety of gift items.

I was provided with a copy of the MyMemories Suite v4 software in exchange for a review. My thoughts and experiences are all my own.
