I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Brancott Estate Wines. I received a gift card to purchase party supplies to facilitate my review and a promotional item as a thank you for participating.
My girlfriends and I are no strangers to GNO (girl’s night out). We’ve been doing it for years since we all met in a Moms/Kids group when we had tiny babies. It’s one of those things that you agree upon amongst friends, you must get out of the house, socialize, and be a woman and a friend to recharge those mommy batteries! Our kids are growing up fast and we are not forgetting about our girl time, more important now as our kids have reached the tween and teen stages I say!
I have a few friends that are avid Bachelor and Bachelorette fans. Actually my husband is too, but he’ll never admit it! But, one close friend and I planned an event to enjoy some Brancott Estate wine and snacks to watch the show a few weeks back. Our gathering turned out small, as it does often due to last minute issues and the other woman who joined us needed a lot of filling in on the show! I loved that she was really receptive to finding out what was going on in this “reality world” of The Bachelorette. In no time was she cheering, making jabs at the guys, and laughing at the show with us!
We poured some of the wine that is from the Marlborough region of New Zealand, the Sauvignon Blanc has been produced there for over 30 years and literally put the area on the wine map. I have a friend who’s husband is from New Zealand and I had hoped she’d show up, but it was a bummer she didn’t. We sampled the Sauvignon Blanc with some cheeses and olives and it opens with a tropical note, is crisp with a strong acidity, it pairs really nice with food rather than alone how I often enjoy a cool white.
We also tried the Pinot Noir, velvety in texture, with cherry notes, we enjoyed it with the meats in the the food platter as well as with our chocolate dessert.
It was a pretty dramatic episode, aren’t they all, and I do think we got our friend to want to watch again! Tonight is “The Men Tell All” episode and I have another bottle of Sauvignon Blanc chilling in the fridge for my husband and I to enjoy! I’m rooting for Brooks in the finale and I’m hoping for a happily-ever-after like Trista and Ryan and Ashley and JP! Who are you rooting for?For more information and social media channels, see the links below.
