What is the newest, cutest, smart Disney Junior hit on TV? It’s Doc McStuffins, and for the first time she and her friends are on Disney DVD with 5 full length episodes! Geared for my first grader and kids 2-7, this lovable 6-year old has a very special talent she can talk to and heal her ailing toys. If there is a boo boo to be fixed or ouchies kissed, Doc McStuffins to the rescue! If your child is nervous about the doctor or hates to see the tweezers when you need to remove a sliver, the stories on this DVD will ease that nervousness when it comes to ensuring good health and hygiene.

The DVD set also comes with a Digital Copy of the episodes perfect for an iPod Touch, iPhone, or iPad so those can be perfect to watch in the car or perhaps while waiting at the doctor’s office. This series is by far one of my favorites for my daughter, the creator and producer also wrote on the Little Bill series from years ago when my older daughter was young and it one that just puts a smile on your face and is just overall wholesome, loving, and smart.
Some of the features we related to with their over all lessons were:
Engine Nine, Feeling Fine–Doc and her toys learn a lesson about dehydration after Donny’s fire engine runs out of water. All 3 of my kids including my youngest play sports and dance and it’s an important lesson to learn that you need to refuel your body when you lose water (sweat)…especially lately when it’s been in the high 90’s and my daughter has been heating up on the soccer field. “You gotta drink a lot more water” is quite the catchy tune even for mom!
Dark Knight–During a sleepover with all her toys, Doc finds Sir Kirby afraid of the dark and prescribes a night light to cure his willies. So many kids deal with this and even some adults (ahem) don’t get over it. This show really made my daughter feel 1. normal and 2. think of ways to combat this challenge.

My daughter loved the Big Book of Boo Boos activity book that came with the DVD and Digital Copy. The stickers can moved about in Doc’s examining room and different characters can get their own checkup and each story can change. Matching games, connect the dots, as well as a list of Healthy Habits keep kids entertained before during and after watching the episodes. My youngest loves that Doc has a secret from her brother Donny, “secrets aren’t usually good, but this one is okay, right mom?!” “Time for your checkup” is a song my daughter sings all the time and she’s been asking for a pet fish she wants to name Squeakers! Sound familiar? “My favorite character is Lambie because when she says I like how you didn’t panic to Stuffy. You and your kids will love this sweet and charming show!
