Have you ever considered plastic surgery? I must admit it has crossed my mind a few times, especially when I’m just about to step foot into the shower and I glance in the mirror. After 3 children, there are areas of my body that would benefit from a lift or a tuck.
I’ve heard there are things called “Mommy Makeovers” that augment your breasts and tightens your tummy. Sure you can diet and exercise to firm up after a baby, but sometimes there is just no alternative to sagging extra skin. I’ve done the 30 day shred and tried the Couch to 5K and then ended up with maybe a few pounds lost but added health ailments.
It’s one of those things that in theory I’m all for, but I think in practice I would be nervous to do. I know people that have had this done and they look amazing, if you ask me I’d say I’m envious. Perky breasts and no more muffin top are very enticing. I would never judge someone for doing something that made them feel better, gave them higher self-esteem, and overall was a successful choice for them. But, could I really go through that surgery? What if something went wrong?
Could you do it?
What type of plastic surgery would you consider?

LOL Totally not paying attention to which tab I was in…I’m sorry. I dislike being put to sleep. That’s the only thing that would keep me from having plastic surgery. I’d like my very large breasts lifted back to where they belong and I’d like to get rid of the extra skin from losing weight. But I won’t. =\

I am 27 years old with 4 children ages 8 months,2yo,3yo and soon to be 5 yo my belly is horrible and I have an extreme case of tubular breast deformity. Don’t know what that is google it. I hate my belly and my breasts I don’t feel like a woman and its horrible. I cant wear bathing suits or tank tops. My belly has gotten evn worse as well and my breasts due to over 100 pound weight loss. I’m waiting to see if my insurance will cover my surgeries but its not looking too promising so all i can really do is pray. so yes I would love a mommy makeover. To feel like a woman and to love the way i look would be nice.

I don’t think there is anything wrong with improving those things that seem to have changed due to having a baby or babies. I would consider it if it meant I would be a happier person. I could use a little help with my chest, that’s for sure!
Sophie S says
Not sure at this point because I don’t need it. If I were to need something done I am not sure how I would feel about it then.
Katie Rose says
I’d dream about it because I dislike the way I feel about my body, but never actually do it. I HATE HATE HATE doctors, hospitals, etc. You go to hospitals to die, I won’t even go to give birth, I’m working towards my third homebirth. (and yes, I know that lots of people go to hospitals to get better but it is an irrational fear and I’m not nearly over it yet.)

Dr.Ed Domanskis says
Oh Mommy! Why wouldn’t you consider getting your pre-pregnancy body back! You deserve it and your husband should be overjoyed with the results. Too bad you can’t pay after you have it done! But actually, you can with our great financing programs!
amy marantino says
no way. i like me just the way i am.
Amanda M. says
I would never do it
amy williams says
I have thought about it and it would be nice to have a makeover.
Dr.Ed Domanskis says
Plastic surgery is not for everyone but it does work and sometimes with very dramatic improvements. It is a personal decision. Most mothers have many, many years ahead of them in the same body that has been usually affected adversely by childbirth. Children are well worth it but at least with a mommy makeover, you can usually get rid of the excess skin and re-tighten the tummy muscles and make your waist smaller and proportion yourself with breast implants and/or breast uplift.
nannypanpan says
i’m lucky i don’t need a mommy makeover but have thought about dermabrasion
nannypanpan@gmail.com
Dr.Ed Domanskis says
Yes you are! Laser resurfacing has almost totally replaced dermabrasion in my practice. It gives me a better consistent result with usually less chance of pigmentation changes.
Rebecca Orr says
I would have a tummy tuck and a breast lift.
Christy Ann says
I would love some plastic surgery, but only if you’re buying! 😀
I don’t think I could ever spend that much money on something like that, but that’s the only reason I wouldn’t do it. If it were free, I’d get a little of everything done!
Dr.Ed Domanskis says
Free is relative. To get your waist back, excess skin removed, with more proportion with larger or uplifted breasts for about $200 per month is pretty “free”!?
Terra Heck says
I could definitely use a mommy makeover. I’ve contemplated a tummy tuck or liposuction. Thanks.
partymix25(at)hotmail(dot)com
Wanda McHenry says
I would not consider plastic surgery.
Kim Henrichs says
not sure on a full makeover, but would get a breast reduction for sure.
Dr.Ed Domanskis says
Many times your insurance will pay for a breast reduction. We pre-authorize for patients. I do this as an outpatient.
Theresa J says
I would love a mommy makeover. Anything that would help lift and reduce my breast size would be awesome
Dr.Ed Domanskis says
I’m here to help you! Yes, the breasts could be reduced/uplifted or enlarged at same time as bringing your waist in, flattening the tummy and removing the excess skin/fat. Great financing, outpatient surgery with relatively short recovery!
Christine says
I would consider plastic surgery.
Thanks for the chance!
Dr.Ed Domanskis says
I would say now is the best time for the rates we have for our financing plans are very low! Usually my patients are back driving the kids within a week and almost full activity within two!
Lisa L says
I thought about having a tummy tuck but I dont think we can afford it plus I’m too much of a chicken
Dr.Ed Domanskis says
Really pretty reasonable when you think of what it would do, tighten the waist, remove all skin/fat/stretch marks on average from the belly button to pubic hair area! Besides, the interest rates on the financing plans we have available are ridiculously low.
trixx says
Right now I wouldnt consider doing anything but who knows.. in a few years I may change my mind! trixpixel[at]gmail.com
Angela Cash says
I may change my mind when I get older, but for now I would only consider plastic surgery if I had some horrible injury that required it.
Shabrina Wellington says
After having my last child in 2011, I am so ready to get my body back into shape. I have had 5 children ranging from 22-2 years old. Ive tried everything from dieting to exercise but nothing can make this c- section bump go away after having my 12 and 2 year old. This makeover would be the ultimate blessing I know I could not do it on my own with my finances. Please help this desperate mom change her self confidence again. I would definitely consider getting a tummy tuck.
Al says
I am in my 50’s and I am considering a mommy makever with a facelift. It is for me, I have no desire to go down gracefully. I am a bit nervous but am really considering. It will be a major investment for me but think it will make me feel much better. I also think it mught actually help with energy.
