Who remembers the show Full House? Gorgeous nearby Alamo Square Park is right across the street. Check out that skyline in the back (too bad it was rainy).
Wow, you live near there?! That seems so cool to me..I am on the other coast and have never been to San Francisco, but have seen photos of that block so many times, not to mention that my daughter used to love Full House!
Oh my goodness, as soon as I saw it I thought that it looked familiar! My kids love watching Full House so I see it regularly! I have a friend that lives in Cali, I’d love to visit someday!
I love that photograph. Along with being called Painted Ladies, I think they are also called row houses, which are in a lot of parts of the country. I believe they may have originated in Great Britain. They have them there also, but not as pretty as these.
We live a few blocks away from a lovely street that is lined with marvelous “Painted Ladies” for several blocks. In our case they are not at all like “row houses” each is architecturally very unique (as are the colors and painting styles!)
We just love to take walks up and down the street – and follow the changes through the four seasons.
We also happen to love San Francisco (who doesn’t?!) We were already talking about maybe taking our next getaway out there – just for the culture, the beauty and the FOOD (!) – now you’ve just given us another good reason / excuse to go. Thanks – love the photos too!

We are about a 90 minute drive yes, very lucky. I’ve only been to the east coast once and I’d love to go back again!

Love visiting these when I make the trip from southern CA to the Bay. Takes me back to growing up in the 90s!
