There is little doubt around the fact that raising children can be tiring and the fact that you get no real time to yourself until they leave the nest and start making their own way in life. While raising a child can be one of the most rewarding things in life, sometimes you just need a little time by yourself or with your partner. For many people this is when their children go to bed as they often stay up later and have a few hours to spare.
One of the best ways in which you can pass time after your kids go to bed is to read, no matter what it is, a bestselling book or article on the internet if it is new to you then you are sure to learn something you didn’t know before about the world. This is one of the many reasons why catching up on your books is a great way to spend your time that night.
If reading is not what you always want to do at night as it takes a little more effort than say watching TV, then there is no reason that when kids go to bed you can’t spend your time catching up on films you have missed or a TV series. There are now many services such as Love film and Netflix that offer instant streaming of thousands of different films and TV series.
If you’re more of the gamer type though then you may want to spend your time playing games on your TV such as one of the many huge console releases like The Last of Us that recently came out. For those people who don’t play many games, go to your PC and log on to your web browser you can play games at sites like Lucky Nugget and Facebook instantly without having to download anything.

When my kids go to bed, I try to catch up on my DVR. I can’t seem to focus on what’s going on (even though I have the captions on) when they’re out and awake. Sometimes when they go to bed, I like to dip into my chocolate stash. 😀

Catch up on my reading, tidy up the kitchen and watch one show.
