Disney’s Club Penguin: Coins for Change Event #CoinsforChange

My 3 kids have been playing Club Penguin, the #1 virtual world for kids,  for years.  I love that site, and even have fun playing some games myself.    At Club Penguin, the holidays mean giving back and empowering our kids to do the same.  Players will be changing the world through online play as part of their annual Coins for Change event.

Running from December 20 through January 2, Coins for change helps players celebrate the true meaning of the holidays by donating the virtual coins that kids earn playing games online in Club Penguin to real-world causes that matter!

For this year’s event, Coins for Change will transform Club Penguin into the biggest virtual bake sale ever with players baking virtual cookies and buying them with their virtual coins.  Each coin acts as a vote to influence where Club Penguin’s one million US dollar donation will go.  The votes determine the percentage of donations made in 3 areas, providing medical help, building safe places, and protecting the earth.

Through programs like Coins for Change, Club Penguin has given a total of 9 million USD to charities all over the world further raising social consciousness among the millions of players who take part in the online community!

*25 school libraries have been built for over 50,000 children

*27 playgrounds have been built for over 85,000 children

*33 clean water projects have been implemented for over 50,000 children & families

*Youth engagement & education programs around the world have been implemented for over 1,000,000 children & families
