Enjoy the beauty of winter in Tahoe from Heavenly Ski Resort, the views are truly incredible when riding the Gondola! Located in the center of downtown Lake Tahoe steps from most major hotels and casinos, the Heavenly Gondola holds eight passengers on its way 2.4 miles up the mountain. The 12 minute ride includes a stop at The Deck, a 14,000 square foot observation platform. The deck, at 9,123 feet, provides breathtaking views of Carson Valley, Desolation Wilderness and views of Lake Tahoe. 
Here you can take your time and relax, take photos, have a snack or a drink (cocoa, latte, wine, beer), buy a Heavenly souvenir at The Gondola Sports shop, and take in the beauty in every direction!
Hop back on the Gondola and head up to Adventure Peak where you can enjoy downhill skiing, cross country skiing, snowboarding, sledding, snow tubing, or head to Tamarack Express chairlift for some of the best views of Lake Tahoe and access to a series of hiking trails, ranging from beginner to expert.
Also, visit Tamarack Lodge where you’ll find Adventure Peak Grill,a full-service, outdoor restaurant and bar where you can get a grilled hamburger, hot dog, barbeque sandwiches, french fries, and more. Elevation 9150′ bar will warm you up with liquid refreshment after a day in the snow and enjoy cocktails while you watch sports on the many televisions!

Gorgeous! Personally, I’m not a fan of cold weather having grown up in Michigan – but my husband loves to ski and I would love to take in Lake Tahoe in the summer! 🙂
I have to admit I feel spoiled when skiing when there is a gondola. It is so much more relaxing than taking a regular ski lift. I also enjoy taking them in the summer and then walking for a while on the mountains.
I live in Michigan and it’s so cold here in the winter that snow doesn’t usually sound nice to me, but this place? It’s stunning! I’d love to vacation here and see it in person! (Did I really just say I want to vacation somewhere that has snow?! LOL)

We never did make it to Tahoe when we lived out west. Wish we had. Now we’ll need to make it a destination vacation!
