Jim Rockford, Barnaby Jones, Thomas Magnum had it easy… Try solving homicide while nursing a two month old. Diana Orgain’s second installment of the Kate Connolly series “Motherhood is Murder, A Maternal Instincts Mystery” is full of plot twists, maternal hijinx and just plain fun to read. Just like the first book, both my husband and I read the book and we love them!
It all begins when the leader of a new-mommy playgroup dies during a dinner cruise on San Francisco Bay. Suspects include the playgroup mommies and their spouses, who is better suited to solve this case than PI Kate Connolly? Oh wait, she hasn’t had time to get a PI license during the 6 weeks since giving birth to Laurie. Kate wriggles her way through a body of evidence including extra-marital affairs, cancelled construction contracts, mysterious birthing centers and international adoption schemes.
Definitely a joy to read and I can’t wait to see what the next case is now that Kate has impressed high profile Attorney at Law Gary Barramendi.
Both of Diana Orgain’s books are born out of a little bit of experience with a touch of humor.
Bundle of Trouble: A Maternal Instincts Mystery was inspired by the transformational experience that motherhood brings. Battling sleep deprivation, diaper blowouts and breastfeeding mishaps Diana muddled through the creation of her first manuscript, Mommy style. Bundle of Trouble is her debut novel, the first in this humorous series published by Berkley Prime Crime. Diana continues to live in the beautiful city by the bay, San Francisco, with her husband and their children.
“Motherhood is Murder”, as well as her first book in the series, “Bundle of Trouble” sells for $6.99 on Amazon.com, Barnes and Noble, and Borders. Mysteries, moms, and excitement a perfect combination! Learn more about the author and read an excerpt from the book at http://dianaorgain.com/.
