School days have my 8 year old busy with reading, writing,  arithmetic, and standardized testing.  Gone are the days where they would have free time and creative play in school, I mean they are still little!  As a former teacher I know kids learn so much through imaginative play: creativity, social skills, and more.  It is so important to keep that alive in children and if I have to do it at home, I will jump at the chance!  Some of our favorite childhood memories revolve around our favorite toys, and the endless adventures they would take us on. As children our dolls and teddy bears are more than just toys, they become our friends. I had dolls and animals that would be there for me when I was lonely, sick, or afraid.  They were ‘someone’ we can tell secrets and snuggle up with at night. The Littlest Pet Shop brand encourages children to use their creativity and create a world of their own.

This fall, Littlest Pet Shop empowers their fans to “be who they wanna be!” with new ways to play.  Designing their own pet shop world, creating their own city,  and displaying their style sets and figures, kids can be inspired by the animated series.  The Littlest Pet Shop brand has over 100 new customizable pets, with accessories, deco bits, stickers and furniture to decorate their homes.

My daughter and her friends spent about 3o minutes putting together the Pet Shop style set and were eager to play despite not being finished.  135 pieces including pets Minka Mark, Kitery Banter, and Sunil Nevla plus tons of little Deco bits had their motor skills put to the test.  Immediately each girl chose their pet and invented voices to speak with.  I have to admit, mom finished the rest of the putting together while they watched the movie.Sweetest Pets was a cute set of 5 episodes of the Littlest Pet Shop cartoon.  The girls giggled when the pets ate too many treats and then started a conversation on their favorite treats.  Every new character shown they’d add their “aww” in and say how much they love how their eyes are depicted on screen.  In “What’s In the Batter” the girls made choking sounds as if they ate the lost necklace and laughed even more  then craved cupcakes!   Just like the toys themselves, the movie instigated funny and clever conversation.Snack time and dessert, the girls were so overwhelmed with such a fun play date!
