I own the Hoover Cordless Stick Vac and reviewed that great product on my site a while back. I was thrilled to see something new and geared for hardwood flooring, which we have in 75% of our home. Do you see that Gatorade bottle? It was purposely poured on the floor for demonstration (something I can relate to that accidentally happens at home!).

On the machine, 3 modes, Vacuum, Wash, and Dry. To suck up the gatorade, set the machine on vacuum and away it goes.

The machine is not too heavy (17lbs) to maneuver at all, that’s great because I’m not Super-Girl. Next, the machine goes on “wash” mode and SpinScrub technology washes the floor (with Hoover FloorMate cleaning soluction) to eliminate color, stain, stickiness, and eliminate the use of a mop! Dual tanks keep cleaning solution and dirty water separate!

Finally, with just a flip of the switch, “dry” mode heat dries the floors quickly so you can get back to life as usual.

*Nozzles and brushes are removeable for easy cleaning. They are dishwasher safe if your spouse allows you to place them in there (maybe do it sans dishes!).

Our Take:
Pros: Compared to our old 20lb Hoover, the Stick Vac is just over 7lbs which is easy enough for even our older kids to maneuver around the house! We love being able to go from room to room in a flash with out dealing with plugs and the cord! Half of our house is hardwood floor and the machine helps us take sweeping out of the equation of our daily cleaning. The sleek thin base can get under our recliner, chairs, and in tight areas easily and again the light weight makes maneuvering and cleaning easy and quick! Moving to the carpet, we put the switch on brush mode and it cleans like a large power vac. Cleanup is a snap and no dirty bags to purchase and change out, makes it much healthier for our allergy-prone household!
Cons: Battery life, once fully charged is shorter than I expected, but re-charging the battery is so easy I wouldn’t mind vacuuming the entire house in two stints. With 3 girls in the house all with long hair, we find that we need to untangle the hair from the filter and brush often.
