Origami Owl Custom Jewelry was started by a teenage girl named Bella with a dream of buying a car for her 16th birthday! She wanted girls and women to be able to tell a story with their jewelry; to create something as unique and individual as each one of us and our journeys. Their necklaces are called “Living Lockets.” They are free floating and tell a story.
If you have read any of my other reviews, you know my life is entering a new stage. My kids are entering the adolescence and teenage years! (Yikes!!) Gone are playdates and picture books. Now it’s Middle School dances and FaceTime. It’s a fun and challenging time, but now is the perfect time to tell my story!
I started with the 32inch Silver Large Flat Oval Link Custom Chain. Next, I chose the Large Silver Locket so I could have plenty of room for charms. I choose the following charms: the Soda Bottle, Pink Crystal Crown, the Silver J & N with crystals, a Baseball, “heart” my cat, and the Police Badge.
So my story goes something like this… I’m a mother of two baseball boys-J & N and I love, love, love Coke. Being a mother of boys, pink has become my favorite color (I think by default) and being the only female in the house, I am most definitely the Queen! I am the “crazy cat lady” and I blame that on my mother – ;o). The badge is for my sweetheart of 14 years, who I couldn’t do without!
Everything came packaged in an adorable little box. It looks like a tiny Chinese food container. Inside is another container similar in shape to a fortune cookie. You squeeze the sides and it opens to your Living Locket. There is even a tiny little cloth bag in the box to keep your necklace in when you aren’t wearing it!
I get loads of compliments on my necklace. And, it goes with everything! I absolutely love the chain! It hangs perfectly and allows the locket to spin. It looks elegant or casual. The charms do “swim” or move around in the locket, so it never looks the same. I can’t wait to purchase a tag to hang and maybe even a disk to go inside. It has become my favorite piece of jewelry! I recently purchased one for my mom for Mother’s Day with something about each grandchild inside. I hope she loves it as much as I love mine!
